meet Vergine Keaton & Vale Poher
It was an obvious choice for us to devote a special evening to director Vergine Keaton. From her first short film, ‘Je criais contre la vie ou pour elle’ (I cried against life or for it), to her installations, and now her feature-length project Bataille, the director is one of the leading exponents of the kind of animation in perpetual research and mutation that we love so much.
At this special screening, we’ll have the chance to see his short films again, talk about his installation work and discover the first unseen images from his feature film. As with last year’s encounter between Steven Woloshen and Bastien Dupriez, we also wanted to invite him to talk to another artist.
Composer-producer-performer Vale Poher will join her to talk about their collaboration on the filmmaker’s first two short films, as well as their artistic process, and to bring together visual and musical creation to better understand them.
