Ursus and Homo, the man and the wolf merge, join and combine. Having become street performers for a living, they entertain the crowd for a few coins, wearing costumes of a tamer and the tamed.

This film, inspired by the first page of the book The Man Who Laughs written by Victor Hugo, is part of the first season of ‘First Page,’ a collection of eleven short films created by young animators recently graduated from French animation schools. This collection celebrates Francophone literature by offering an animated interpretation of the first page of a book of their choice.
