You build a home in my mind
Upcoming Events with You build a home in my mind
Translating and encapsulating the director’s personal childhood experiences as well as past lived experiences, “You build a home in my mind” comprises of objects from childhood, including playground rides, climbing frames, basketball courts, and unique, special objects recalled from memories—weaving together a melody that lures the viewers to roam and wander. Imageries of the cityscape of Hong Kong are constantly spinning, scattering, and disappearing, sometimes circling and other times passing by. In their fleetingness, the fragments of the city are pieced together to create an intertwined and subtle narrative, drawing the viewer into searching for the memories it carries. As the boat navigates between memory and dream, resembling a journey of constant loss and persistent search, the scenes become slightly different when they reappear, alluding to the repetitiveness and uncertainty of life.
